What are the Signs of Autism?
Remember that all children do not have the same signs. If you feel your child has signs of autism please have them evaluated by a professional. We are not able to diagnose your child.
Common signs of Autism
-Delayed speech
-Poor eye contact
-Not able to make friends with peers easily
-Unaware of other peoples feelings and unable to interpret feelings
-Seem to prefer playing alone
-Preform repetitive movements (flapping arms & rocking)
- Do not handle changes in their routines or rituals
-Talk in a “robot like voice” or technical
-Can be sensitive to sounds, touch, and lights
-Can be oblivious to pain
There can be other signs of autism and it’s important to have your child evaluated by a professional. Scientific studies show early intervention can significantly improve outcomes of autistic children.
